Night Light Photography
I rarely mention that I’m in a Photography Club that is made up of local members and some that are from very far away. I believe the group started on Facebook. I stumbled upon the Facebook page because I was curious if there were other local photographers out there that was interested in the hobby and not the professional aspect…you know, like weddings, senior portraits and family pics. Anyway…one of the members asked me to come meet him for a beer and some light painting. I kind of assumed that meant long exposure photos and run around with different color lights. The results would be wild looking colors stretched out across your photo. I tried that and let’s just say I need practice at it. I was happy enough with the 4 photos that I posted across my social media. I just used 2 different lights to set up my scene…it was very dark out there and I didn’t bring a flash (I was in a rush after I got off of work). I didn’t mention the location we went to. From what I was told…the house use to belong to the property owner’s father. The owner has made the outside look like an old time gas station/country store. Now it was very dark so I know I missed out on lots of potential pics. I very much want to go back during the daytime. Also, I imagine the inside is pretty neat too. The cold weather has made me want to stay indoors when I’m off of work so I haven’t been taking as many pics as I usually would. The new house (107yrs old) has also taken up some of my time. Thank you for reading this blog (all 3 of you).
